Arsenal FC Linked With £70m French Star Amid Search For Attacking Reinforcements
The Frenchman and Paris Saint-Germain forward Randal Kolo Muani has reportedly been offered a move to Arsenal.
The France forward, who has struggled to secure a starting spot under manager Luis Enrique, could be on the move after falling behind Gonzalo Ramos at the Paris club. Ramos has recently paved way for Muani for some playing time due to injury, but his future at PSG remains uncertain.
Arsenal did not make any major additions to their attack during the summer transfer window, with manager Mikel Arteta relying on the players he already had. Kai Havertz continued his impressive form from last season, while Leandro Trossard continues to make a significant impact up front for the Gunners.
However, there are concerns about Gabriel Jesus, who has struggled with fitness and form and failed to capitalize on the right opportunities. As PSG search for a back-up player, Kolo Muani has been offered to a number of Premier League clubs, including Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea, Aston Villa and Newcastle, according to TBR Football.
The 24-year-old signed for the French champions for €85m (£70m) but has featured in just two league games this season, suggesting he is not part of his long-term plans Enrique. According to reports, PSG are initially willing to loan him on a permanent transfer.
Despite the availability of Kolo Muani, Arsenal may not need an additional striker. The north London club’s attacking form is good and Havertz exceeds expectations as a versatile attacking option capable of adding goals. Unless Arsenal are targeting a prolific striker like Viktor Gyokeres or Benjamin Sesko, signing Kolo Muani could be seen as unnecessary, especially as he is likely to be a back-up rather than a starter.
The Gunners are also monitoring other potential suitors, including 23-year-old playmaker Charles De Ketelaere. They have also been linked with Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen despite his recent move to Turkey.
