Coco Gauff Has Been Mentioned On Tyler The Creator’s Newest Single

Coco Gauff can be seen everywhere these days, on and off the field.

Last week, the 20-year-old was named the best tennis player on SportsPro’s list of the world’s best-selling athletes. Now she has been mentioned by Tyler, The Creator ahead of the release of the rapper’s upcoming album.

“Waking up to my name being mentioned in a Tyler song… Absolutely insane,” Gauff wrote on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter. “Thank you!”

Tyler, The Creator has been teasing his seventh album, Chromakopia , all month, and this past weekend he released its third single, “I Thought I Was Dead,” along with an extended music video and visuals.

After researching every word and meaning, rap fans and tennis fans discovered a familiar name in the lead verse of the song featuring artist Santigold. B-tch, you ain’t Coco Gauff, you can’t serve me.

Of course, the current Gauff serve is still in operation with US recognition. The 2023 US Open winner has overcome a difficult challenge, having recently recruited new coach Matt Daley, who has experience in changing teams.

In her last match at the Wuhan Open, Gauff committed 21 double faults in the semifinals, prompting her opponent Aryna Sabalenka to treat her sympathetically at the net.

“I mean, there is moments in the match where you are just like, I just want to leave the court,” the 20-year-old said afterward. “I think for me, I didn’t want myself to go into that mentality because it’s not going to change anything. I was just trying to be positive. Today it didn’t work.

“I know she (Aryna) had a similar double-faulting issue. It does give me confidence knowing that a lot of players go through this… I’m not worried because I found the solution, I just didn’t really have time to work on it.”
