Striker confirms he will not join Chelsea in January

A striker who is also Chelsea’s target has confirmed he will not be joining Chelsea in the next January transfer window despite persistent rumours.
In fact, the forward will not be joining a new club in the winter transfer window as he confirms he will be staying put. Chelsea have been heavily linked with Victor Osimhen for some time and tried to sign him during the summer transfer window which turned out to be one of the trending potential transfers.
Osimhen wanted to leave Napoli and appeared open to a move to Chelsea. However, the Blues were unable to complete the deal by the end of the transfer window and the forward was loaned out to Turkish side Galatasaray to continue playing this season.
If he could leave the Turkish team in January and there are rumors that Chelsea would like to bring him back. But he has now confirmed he will be working until at least the summer of the 2025. Apparently, Chelsea likely to wait till the summer to continue their push to sign Osimhen, as Soccernet.ng reports.
Chelsea are still keen to bring the former LOSC Lille forward to Stamford Bridge despite Nicholas Jackson’s improved and clinical form in front of goal. The Blues are looking for a striker who can guarantee at least 20 goals a season and are confident that Osimhen will fill that void.
Following Galatasaray’s 2-1 win over Besiktas last night, Osimhen will remain at the club until the end of his loan spell next summer, Turkish journalist Yagis Sabuncuoglu has reported.
The Journalist asked: “Are you here for the second half of the season?”
Victor Osimhen: “Yes, I’m here.”
Therefore, Osimhen will remain in Turkey for the rest of this season. We’ll see if Chelsea come back in the summer.
